BIG NEWS: This is an update from Bill Porter (Red Pine) regarding the new Port Townsend Meditation Center. Please note that the information shared here is a summary and things could change. In Bill’s words: “Last month, the city of Port Townsend gave us a conditional use permit to build our meditation hall. Because our land (located on the corner of San Juan Avenue and 32nd Street ) as well as the adjacent roadside includes the area’s last vestige of camas prairie — the plant that was the major source of food and starch for the native tribes here, we are adjusting our site design so that we can preserve as much camas, with its lovely blue flowers, and prairie as possible. In recognition we have decided to call our place Camas Hall.”
